The stars of the Mizar systems (Mizar A and B) imaged at very high magnification (~10,000mm effective focal length) with an 8-inch Newtonian telescope. These stars are separated by 14 arcseconds. Exposure times were ~0.1 seconds and fast enough to show the effects of turbulence in the atmosphere.
