Lyrics:
“Huh? Who’s there?” Dog at the front door barking at the air, wind all “whsshsh” in the trees, then “chk chk chk chk”, feet on leaves, uhhhh, it’s probably a cat, might be a guy with an ax, might be a trap, shit it’s probably a trap, might be a possum in the trash, it’s probably a trap, “Aye keep it moving!” God I sound stupid, good chance I’m not even talking to a human, then again it’s probably a trap, somebody had to set it, depending on the type maybe several, yea that’s it, it’s probably several, several come together, to make what woulda taken one forever, I’m thinking it’s a pretty damn sophisticated trap, utilizing some technology I didn’t know we had, hmm... maybe I am entirely tripping, it might’ve been the neighbor’s kid but I have my suspicions, I wish it were as simple as a critter but it isn’t, I feel that it’s important we consider all dimensions, like… ohhh I dunno, maybe it’s a trap? I step onto the lawn, y’all jump out with the bag, I wake up in some alley on a wholly other plane, can’t remember who I am or how to get back to the base, I realize you people think that I am off the deep-end, I’ll say that it’s a lovely night regardless of the b.s., it is, a perfect snow is freckling the path, it’s almost like the atmosphere is begging for a trap, the mutt goes quiet, one last sniff, lopes inside, fine, it might’ve been a baby squirrel who tumbled from the nest, it’s probably just you motherfuckers missed

This song is pure storytelling and character through action. This may just be an interlude track but it is among the best in terms of themes and character portrayal.

This is the funniest and most relatable example of anxiety I've ever heard.

Aes is just a freaking genius but at the same time he throws in a line that's literally "uuhh..." and its golden

This whole album is so awesome, but shit, this track has gotta be my favorite. It captures something I've felt so many times in such a genuine way. These short ones are a lot of fun

It's the way he say "missed" as the last word right at the end, you can sense the grit in his teeth and that wasn't present in any other bit of the tune. Like a send off of "fuck you, i know you're there.." brilliant stuff Aseop.

Crazy he doesn't get the same recognition as big writers or poets, aes is literally a master at telling stories, and he rhymes while doing it.

This is amazing, not sure if it's the intended meaning but it's like the most accurate description of tripping and getting stuck in a thought loop.

One of the best songs on the album.
Makes me smile the whole way through.
Nice simple video on top of that, which takes nothing away from it at all.
A really nice compliment to the other videos off this album.

Don't know why but this is one of my favorite tracks on the album. Jumpin coffins and four winds are the top for me.

Aesop caused an evolution within me. I now, only listen to music that makes me have to do more than listen. I still hear shit on skelethon that I missed 13 years ago! I have to identify with music to say I'm a fan. Ace's music insists on you tediously peeling back the layers of syllables and sounds, before you can come to the realization that you identify in the first place. THAT is wizardry! Most compelling artist in music, let alone, in hip hop.

I like that this track and 'Check The Lock' by clipping. both sound like Aes and Daveed Diggs got the same writing prompt and then came up with a song in their own particular lyrical style.
