Advice is always 'shop with a list'. Fine, but also walk every aisle. Check every clearance area your store has. There are often separate areas for meats, dairy, produce, dry goods. I've built a lot of my preps by watching every aisle like a hawk. A few stores will have clearance items on the regular shelf spot, especially when it is a package change of discontinued flavor.

I have canned ground beef, ground chicken, ground rabbit & ground turkey. I love all of it & use them all in assorted recipes: except the ground turkey! Turkey is one of my favorite meats, but not ground & certainly not canned ground turkey! Am I doing something wrong in how I'm canning it (just like you described) or am I not using it correctly? What recipes do you use it in? I keep thinking since I love turkey meat, I should also enjoy the ground turkey!! Nope! 😳
