George Harrison - Mo (also known as 'Mo's Song') [Rare Unreleased Track]

"Mo's Songs" was a compliation album released in 1994 as a tribute to former Warner Bros Records chairman Mo Ostin. It features a variety of rock and roll classics but the only exclusive track from the set was an unreleased George Harrison song written for "Mo" that's titled well- “Mo.” This is a 5 minute, fully produced track that Harrison specifically gave to Ostin, and was only used on this tribute release. It was supposedly written in 1977, NOT during the "Somewhere In England" sessions, as I previously thought. I used that cover here but it's actually written between Thirty Three & 1/3 and the self titled album. Enjoy!

Great song. In regards to the description, it was written in 1977, but that was not during the Somewhere In England sessions (which happened in 1980 and some songs in early 1981). Mo's Song was instead written between Thirty Three & 1/3 and the self titled album. Thought I'd just clarify some things. :)

RIP Mo Ostin. This was written and recorded for Mo’s 50th birthday circa 1977, but remained unreleased until 1994, when it appeared on a promotional only release upon Mo’s retirement as CEO of Warner Brothers (parent label of George’s Dark Horse record label).
