Yeah no I hate that they made it seem like the issue wasn't that Mr. Shue favorited Rachel. She was talented but she only got her solos cuz she'd throw a tantrum and effectively bully the other glee members.

I'm going to say what every college professor and professional performer has said to me. If you are going into this business to be a star you are going to fail. In order to succeed in this business you have to just love performing. You have to love it so much that it doesn't matter if you're third chorus girl from the left. Rachel would never succeed in the real world, because she would never be happy with anything less than the starring role, and in the REAL world that doesn't happen right away. And for some people just as talented as her it doesn't happen at all. Everytime I go onstage it's because I love it. It's because I love bringing joy to people. Ultimately it's not about me, and that's what it takes to be a great performer and that's why Rachel Berry would never be one. Because when she's performing its all about her

After this scene in season three Mercedes should have worked hard to become the best instead of being lazy, not willing to share the spotlight, and not just blaming Rachel for her short comings. I really hated Mercedes character in season three and the people who supported her behavior and condemn Rachel for doing the same thing minus the lazy part

What I find extremely interesting is Mercedes Jones is acting like an absolute diva and not in a good sense of the word making stupid demands but yet no one is going to call her out for it because she’s Mercedes but I promise you if Rachel had made any of the demands that Mercedes had made all of you guys would be on her faster than I can count from 1 to 10 and we all know it because you’re all hypocrites and it’s all a big double standard to you guys because everyone else except Rachel can do and say what ever they like.
