because its digital and he uses presets, aslong as you dont drive any of the sounds and can mix you dont need to do alot to get a great sounding track

look, its all how you use them. You can have people like lucky date making music in reason as well as kill the noise back a couple of years ago. You have people like porter using FL you have the glitch mob using ableton or maybe even rusko with acid. Its how you use it which defines it, not the pricepoint. Reason is good as any other sequencer, but at the end of the day its preference, if you like ableton so be it, dont go sticking it down peoples throats like a religious fundamentalist

please stop the DAW fights. All DAW's are different for peoples needs. I personally prefer ableton yet my friend has to keep saying to me how great Fl studio. Its all PERSONAL PREFERENCE. Reason is awesome for synth programming and it is honestly the best all in one "Vst/Host". I use it like a vst because there is no cpu wastage, the synths are fucking powerful and the controlling is insane. Reason rewired into ableton is all I NEED. So leave it at that and stop arguing over which DAW is better.

Its how you use the stuff, reason is very very powerfull but if people cant use it it will always sound weak, ive used reason for 12 years and cubase for about 8 and i dont think i need to use anything else for digital music, digital music is shit sounds clean and with no life and soul, i have analog sysnths and no daws come close to the Alesis Andromeda A6 that will destroy speakers and make you buzz from the complexity of the sounds being produced.
