Who doesn't love exploring folklore? Especially ones with sinister backstories that will drag you to the depths of hell when distracted. But what if their knowledge is used as leverage for ominous motives?

Known to drag humans into the inner depths never to be found again, what is the true intention behind this ancient folklore? Are these supposedly "wise women" Wise enough to not threaten the humanities existence.

#Witte #wieven in modern Dutch Low Saxon literally translates to "white women", but the word seems to have no relation to the #spirit's name origin at all. As it originally meant "#wise #women". "Wit" or "Witte" meant wise in a way similar to the English "#witty". Witte wieven is still often translated to "white woman", as the words come from the same roots.

There are many other names for Witte Wieven, such as witte juffers, joffers, jomfers, wiefels and olde witten. That alone should tell you that this term has been around for a while!
