Cura advanced settings 2019 - Install and first setup #01

In the first episode of the cura advanced settings 2019, I'm gonna teach you how to download, install and make the first configuration of Ultimaker Cura 4.2.1.

Along the video, I am also going to teach you how to create a custom 3d printer in cura, and also how to create a custom PLA material.

We will use these 3d printer and filament along this complete series.

Cura is a very common slicer software, that is used worldwide for 3D Printing. It supports a huge variety of 3d printers such as the BQ Hephestos, Original Prusa i3 MK2, Ultimaker 2, Ultimaker 3, Rostock, Creality CR10s, etc.

It allows us to print in 3d in three different ways:
The first is by uploading the .gcode files into an SD Card, that we will insert in our 3D Printer. Second, we can connect our 3D Printer to our computer via USB, and control it directly from our Cura software, and finally, there is an option to control some 3D Printers at the same time remotely, via internet.

Ultimaker Cura in the version 4.2.1, or the most recent version depending when you watch this video, is available for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux operating systems.

I use ultimaker cura 4.2.1 and I am not able to use thing averse on it it will only except pictures not premade G code files

I see on your Material section you have loads of profiles? is it possible to download these and import from somewhere or did you put them all in yourself

Can't get how to setup my printer's head settings! Cura 4.3.0. Sometimes it just ignores the input (and it's pisses me off really). But in the volume I see no changes. How can I input any custom printhead settings there? I want to print several parts with "one at a time" mode. Is it broken?

on my computer(s) cura starts and it closes it self does anyone knows what i can do ? tryed it on 3 systems and on everyone the same problem
