Aesha led with compliments and only criticized in tangible ways like in terms of time spent on tasks and following instructions. Ellie did not internalize the compliment on her decorations and makes excuses instead to rationalize her inability to humble herself and just do the work. Ellie lacks leadership qualities because the best leaders lead by example and treat everyone by the same standard. Doing a good job gets you there, not treating people as inferior.

As a Dutch person I feel the labor circumstances are really bad in yachting. While I do think people should be aware what they choose for when they work in yachting, it seems a lot of basic labor rights are ignored. That culture needs a change, especially tied in with overconsumption by the wealthy and elitism.
