Rescue teams are searching into the night to try to locate Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi after his helicopter crashed on May 19. Raisi was heading to the north-eastern city of Tabriz after returning from an Iran-Azerbaijan border area when the incident occurred. MEHR agency claims Raisi's picture was taken before boarding a helicopter, but it is still unclear if this is before or after he visited two dams. Footage broadcasted on Iranian state television also showed Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter, before reports of the accident emerged. If he has died after the crash, as looks increasingly likely, one of toughest most uncompromising players will remove from the Middle East.
