to murder drones fanboys

1. One of the earlier feats of durability achieved by IDW G1 Prime comes from the comic book All Hail Megatron issue #7 in which Prime and his team of the Autobots are defeated and outclassed by the decepticon forces. Later in the issue Optimus and the rest are being sent through a wormhole portal (the Space Bridge) to later be fed to the swarm. Prime, however, is not happy about the process and decides that he should sabotage the Space Bridge and does so, causing himself to retreat (but an unexpected event occurs). Due to the Space Bridge being stable no more he falls through the portal, but before being transported to his final destination, he is torn apart by the forces of Space and Time in the process thanks to the fact that the Space Bridge, as stated by Kup who is the narrator of this story, is a wormhole device that defies the laws of Time and Space. Despite already being damaged and beaten to half-death by the decepticons he still survives the encounter.

2. In one of the issues of Devastation comic book mini-series Prime faces the legendary Phase-Sixer known by the name of Sixshot who makes short work of Prime's small team of the Autobots. Later Prime takes Sixshot on by himself and punches through his chest. It wouldn't have been anything special and yet it is, the reason to that is the fact that Sixshot's armor is composed of materials drawn from the collapsed stars aslo known as Super Novas. Now, while Super Novas are not fully capable of destroying entire galaxies, they do still have a large impact on the ones that they are really close to, eventually causing such damage that nearby solar systems can be destroyed. With this in mind and with the fact that the entirety of Sixshot's body is composed of such metal, it is safe to assume that the idea behind creating this alloy would be so that whoever possesses it can easily withstand the explosions that can end entire galaxies.

3. Optimus had to face one of the elder Primes, Nova Prime, but he (Nova) is not alone as he is slowly getting possessed by the D-Void, a powerful being, the embodiment of the Dead Universe, granting Nova Prime the ability to control an entire universe and casually bend reality to his will. Willing to rid of Optimus, Nemesis Prime(Nova) fires a number of full powered blasts which the new Autobot Leader easily tanks, an impressive feat indeed

4. Now, stepping into the crossover territory(which I and many other TF fans do not really like and it's very understandable) Optimus Prime had defeated the Elder God Cthulhu, forcing the Eldritch Abomination to flee back into the depths of sea.

5. Getting back to Nova Prime, this time Optimus gets to face off against the version of Nova that has no connection to D-Void anymore, but despite that Nova Prime still possesses the powers that let him control a whole universe and bend the fabric of reality under his will(The comics never really go deep into explaining as to why he still has them, but the fact still stays that the guy is now a cosmic being of his own) Optimus, despite all that, easily overwhelms the godly being who took Optimus' appearance in order to mock and intimidate him, with a barrage of fists and rips the evildoer apart as if he was nothing out of the ordinary. Conclusion? Never piss Optimus Prime off because when he is mad, even gods can suffer consequences.

6. Now, as I like to call him, God Shockwave. Both Megatron and Optimus get hit with full-powered energy blasts by Shockwave when the one-eyed monstrocity gets terribly angry at the truth announced by Optimus and both of them survive it with little to no ill effects. To give you an idea of how powerful Shockwave was at the time, he bent the fabric of Space and Time into his image and could easily erase the whole universe out of existence if he wanted to. Despite that, however, Shockwave is tricked by Megatron and is then willingly defeated by both him and Optimus.

7. Windblade's ...blade(no pun intended) can withstand Final Fantasy Starscream's beams of doom or whatever. Now, this is a big deal because Megatron outright states that in this new form Starscream had become the most powerful being in the whole universe and Screamer goes to prove it right away by becoming a giant living black hole and actually spitting one out himself. Why do we still give it to Optimus? Well, in the series, in episode 3(to be exact) Optimus engages in a fight against Windblade and both use their melee weapons to fight against one another. Seeing as Prime's axe did not break or shatter under the pressure of her sword and Optimus ended up outclassing her with his weapon, I say Prime can just as easily guard himself from such attacks(especially because he was dominating the whole fight)

8. As previously mentioned, Starscream did unleash a black hole at Optimus and Megatron in order to consume them, but it didn't happen (if it could at all) as Windblade flies in and collapses the entire thing with her turbine attack! Why do we give this one to Prime still? There are at least 3 reasons as to why and I am going to name them respectively.

9. Megatron's gun mode(though it looks like a rifle now) is used to destroy Final Fantasy Starscream and just one shot from the gun does the job and completely collapses Screamer.

Prime had survived blasts from Megatron's fusion cannon before on daily occasion, even when Megs was powered by the Ultra Energon which had Megatron's powers skyrocket far above than his normal form, meaning that Optimus once again proves how durable he really is with this feat.

10. Now we get back to the comic books once again after the previously made point. It would be apropriate to mention it right now, thanks to us having touched upon Optimus Prime's fight against Ultra Energon powered Megatron, who, mind you once again, in his normal state is an equal to Optimus Prime in strength/durability, meaning that a version of him powered by Ultra Energon has all of this power multiplied by many times over Optimus Prime's own strength. Despite Megatron having defeated Optimus Prime at first, the Autobot still survives the fight through translating his own consciousness into one of his 3 main components, the Combat Desk(The Escalation comic book overall shows great capabilities of all of Prime's 3 modules and just how smart Optimus is at using them for stealthy tactical missions and for sniping his enemies from behind when they least expect it as well as having them help himself survive any sort of unlikely situation he might end up in) Optimus then makes a great come back once he is restored to then shoot Megatron at point-blank range, both draining him of Ore-13's power and utterly defeating him. Thus we can see that against all odds Prime is not only a great tactician mind, capable of turning an entire battle upside down in his favor despite how many times stronger his opponent is, but also that he has 2 more components always ready to aid him wherever he goes to make sure he survives the fight and outsmarts his enemies, allowing Prime to gain victory even in fights that might come off as one-sided.

11. Optimus prime survived many black holes in transformers idw comics
