A collection of his writings is named after it, but that's another story.

The misunderstood thing about the 'wiccan curse' on one's spellbook is that some curse will come after you. No, not really. It's more tot he point that using the spells, recipes, etc in the book is likely to get you hurt. Thus the line about your 'doom' coming at the hands of the Art itself. A sort of... 'if you don't know how fire works, don't light this bonfire' type deal. =D
