I am torn between the 000-18 and the om-28. Problem is that it's a matter of apples and oranges. You can't fairly compare the two. I unfortunately do not have the funds to buy them both right now. Which means I'll have to choose: complex sounds, or straight forward mahogany focus. I like both. And I think the OM is a little more aristocratic. It's beautiful. But the 000-18 is easier to play fingerstyle on. If you make mistakes, they come out less ugly on the 000-18 than on the om-28. Man. What to do. Maybe you would be so kind to share some of your thoughts on this matter, Ian? Why do you prefer the mahogany type sound of the 000-18 over the Rosewood sound?

Do you find that the OM bottoms out with harder strumming or does it do pretty well compared to the D-28?
