Growing up in the 90’s, everything kids related had slime. It was definitely culturally pervasive, and Nickelodeon likely played a prime role in that! It’s crazy to think back, and just realize how much slime was involved in marketing, and entertainment during my childhood!

If memory serves me correctly the slime most commonly does was just a ton of vanilla instant jello mixed with milk amd green and yellow food coloring. I’m pretty sure mark summers from what would you do mentioned the recipe also at one time incorporated oatmeal. This gave it a chunky consistency on some shows “what would you do”

Most people didn't know that thier slime thing came from Y.C.D.T.O.T. I watched that show all the time back in like 1980-1984, memories 😊. We loved watching the characters get slimed. Y.C.D.T.O.T. was actually a Canadian show. If you watch the intro for season one there is a lot of "Canadian" imagery used.
