JEFF PORCARO XXV 25 TRIBUTE (Bjorn Mendizabal)

A quarter century ago Jeff Porcaro passed away, leaving us a legacy whose extension and depth hardly can be understood. Personaly it was Jeff Porcaro who showed me the little I may know about playing for the song and therefore, from my ignorance, I would like to pay tribute to Jeff playing along to some of the greatest tunes he played on, without spoiling them too much. I will be uploading more vids soon, this is just a sort of mix. I would love seeing more of the younger drummers get inspired from the great studio musicians as Jeff. A hug to everyone who misses him too, and a extra big one to his friends/relatives.

Hoy es un triste pero gran dia. Hace exactamente un cuarto de siglo Jeff Porcaro fallecía dejándonos un legado cuya extensión y profundidad difícilmente podemos alcanzar a entender. Jeff fue posiblemente quien me enseñó el poquito que sé acerca de tocar para la canción y desde mi ignorancia quería rendirle tributo. Así que he elegido algunos temas estelares entre su legado y he intentado no destrozarlos demasiado. Próximamente subiré más videos, este es un resumen. Desearía que los baterías más jovenes se nutriesen más del legado de grandes músicos de estudio como fue Jeff. Un fuerte abrazo a aquellos que también lo echan de menos, y otro mayor aun a sus conocidos y allegados.
