God Bless You. I have been searching for a video that actually explains the difference and what to do. Thank you so much for taking the time out to do this video.

So it looks like the transfer paper for light colors actually transfers the ink to the fabric, but the paper for dark colors is basically a decal that sits ON the fabric. I say this based on the fact that you turn the one for light colors ink side down, and use the one for dark ink side up. Therefore it would be interesting to see comparisons between the transfer paper for darks and printable HTV. Thank you for doing this experiment and showing it!

This is the best guide and summary of transfer papers. Nowhere could I find a description of what impression the pressed print is on the material and whether it appears to be plastic or squeezes into the material. Great tutorial :)

It is also interesting that both companies have been well-known paper manufacturing companies for many, many years (more than 40), and now have gotten into this.

Love these experiments. Super informative and fun to watch!
Also, I really appreciate that you took the time to emphasize the difference in transfer tapes. As a newb, you probably just saved me from ruining my new heat press! 😅

hi Angie, I have had so much trouble using Transfer paper, I do not mirror, but sometimes my cricut will cut it mirrored so a waste of paper and ink. I did not know there was a light and dark Mirror setting. thank you for this. NOW I know to mirror for dark. strange.

Hi Angie, I just watched your video and would like a bit of advice/clarity. Which printable heat transfer paper would you suggest for heather gray material? I would prefer one for light fabric because of the way it feels and blends into the shirt. However, I know the paper for dark fabric shows up more vibrantly most of the time. I just don't like the way it looks. And it sometimes leaves a white trim around the edge. Please help. Thank you! 💞

Great review! I have only ever used a white or clear version that you can pick up from Walmart. They were okay but you can always see a bit of the white or clear film around the edges. Thanks for this review and examples. 😊💙

My question, can you use that Wala paper with any printer to do t-shirts? I don't have a heat transfer machine yet.
