Prince Edward Island is the most relaxing place I've ever been to. My family has a lot of history in PEI and we visited several times when I was a kid. I last went in 2017 and the people are so friendly and laid back, it's just a great place to go and forget about all your troubles.

Vietnam. Criminally underrated is what I would say. Great food, blessed with both greenery and the sea and awesome people. Language can be a barrier but you can get by.

Ljubljana is very much becoming discovered. I spent time there last summer, and while I loved it, that main stretch of restaurants along the river does get packed to capacity. I loved the city, but I remember thinking it’s too small to withstand a big tourist invasion.

Thanks for giving West Virginia some love. It's a beautiful state. It certainly has it's problems but for outdoor adventure it's hard to beat.

As a Brit, I strongly agree with what you say about York. It has an abundance of historical sites and museums. You could spend a whole week just visiting these sites.

I agree about West Virginia. Harper’s Ferry is stunning. Part of the Appalachian Trail runs through there and the historyis fascinating. The Black Hills of South Dakota and Pictured Rocks National Seashore are another 2 I think more people should know about in the US. I also believe there are underrated activities. In Thailand, for example, one of my most transformative travel experiences was Monk Chat at a temple in Chiang Mai.

Salzburg, Austria. Spent a weekend there last year. Lots of historical sites, very reasonably priced restaurants and an incredible beer garden.

I went to Romania on a work trip, but got some tourism in. It is really beautiful, both the nature and the architecture, with great food and lovely people. Can’t wait to go back for a longer trip.

Unfortunately, the most underrated city I have been to is now in theory off limits and people are suffering. I've been to a lot of major cities on 6 continents, but Kyiv really surprised me. It was a pleasure to visit.

For England, Lincoln is more underrated than York; has the same old historic city vibe, but quieter and can be more picturesque in places, plus its cathedral was once the tallest building in the world before its spires collapsed
