I am Russian, and I have friends in the Crimea, the occupation is not there! 80% of people living in the Crimea - Russian, and they do not want to live in Ukraine, and to be in NATO or EU, they want to re-enter Russia. Russia and Ukraine are one people, we are speaking the same language, having the same origin. Russia has not imposed troops in the Crimea, they were already there, in agreement with previous guidance of Ukraine. Like, everyone should know it!

If this is to be a regional conflict, so be it. Bottom line is Russia has reason to be there, and very few other countries do. Ukraine is on their borders. Has been since history began and always will be. Americans come and go! Just as Iraq is on Iran's borders, Mexico is on US borders and the US also has highly intrusive, destabilising and interventionist policies in Mexico. I've had enough of hearing about this whole conflict from Obama and Merkel, and instead want to know what Poland, Lithuania, Romania and Belarus have to say.

Crimea is gone to Russia already - referendum would be just a legal justification of it. I personally strongly dislike Russia's (and USA's) imperialistic way of thinking and definitely oppose Crimean annexation (current status just not declared), but let people decide by referendum vote (under EU supervision)
