Jaime Barba on the cost of NCDs and Universal Health Coverage

Accelerating progress towards Universal Health Coverage (#UHC) is essential to ensuring the health and well-being of all people. Approximately 100 million people are pushed into poverty every year as a result of out-of-pocket payments for health care, a large proportion of which are due to non-communicable diseases (#NCDs).

In this video, Jaime Barba, an NCD advocate from Mexico, and a person living with an NCD is sharing his call for the government to introduce #UHC and stop catastrophic out-of-pocket healthcare expenditures.
