Harry and Meghan make surprise calls to young leaders in the US

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were recorded making surprise telephone calls to young entrepreneurs.

The couple were filmed as they made congratulatory calls from a bright garden to some of the recipients of the first-ever Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund grants.

They thanked them for all the hard work in helping make the world of technology a better and safer place. The pair referenced their two children, Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, in one of the calls.

“Thank you for everything that you do,” he said, adding: “Our kids especially are incredibly grateful.”

“They don’t know it yet, but they will!” joked the Duchess.

In the video, released on Wednesday, the royal couple grinned as they spoke to the various young American entrepreneurs, whose reactions of surprise were also caught on camera.

Is this the idea of their new PR company?
It looks completely staged and awkward. Cameras are carefully positioned and scene is set. Have the recipients been given a script to learn of what they should say? These are not the sort of answers people would give if they were genuinely ‘surprised’ by the phone call.
I find it a rather uncomfortable cringey watch.

They’re so surprised getting a call…while being filmed. Omg what a not convinced Meghan or Harry actually spoke to anyone. Their track record from the podcast is that they do voiceovers🙄

To be honest, after learning that megan didn't do many of her interview on Spotify, i find it weird they are finaly talking to regular people, poor megan having to suffer this without getting paid and poor Harry having to interupt his busy schedule of suing everyone to film this 😢😂
