I had my son watch your video with me. He wouldn't stop talking about becoming a scientist now. Your content is definitely needed in today's society

It's so nice to be able to see some great pictures of Mars without someone trying to tell me there's an alien gorilla or a dinosaur in the background.

Do you ever watch these videos and find yourself forgetting for a moment that you're actually looking at another freaking planet? The insanity of the whole thing is easy to forget; it's almost like its beyond our comprehension. Mine, anyway.

This is my favorite channel. Among tons of not-so-accurate and pseudoscientific channels, you are always trustworhty and very clear (and your voice is Thank you so much for the quality over quantity way.

Awesome, never thought back in the nineteen sixties I would ever see the surface of Mars, never mind with this clarity! Wow

Great quality. Great content. It's good to see channels with subject matter like this that is based in the world of science and not coming from under a tinfoil hat

can't wait until humans explore mars in person. a whole planet waiting for us, amazing.

A geologist's paradise. I'd just like to take my trusty old rockhammer and do some old fashioned field work around there. Too bad I'd need a damned spacesuit!

How fantastic to hear you speak and describe what it is I'm looking at, as I gaze and marvel at the gorgeous and intriguing landscape of planet Mars.!! I came here after listening to a talk by Richard Hoagland.

This should be featured on NASA's channel.

GREAT VIDEO!!!! I theorize that a large asteroid somewhere around 25-100 km in diameter hit mars in the center of Valles Marineris many centuries ago when Mars had oceans, volcanic lava below its hardened tectonic plates. The meteor broke through the plate deep into the lava layer causing a tectonic plate split and water from the oceans to fall into the crater pass through from the west into the hole and eventually exploding into steam and also water rushing past to the west of the scar. Additionally this impact caused increased volcanic activity as can be seen to the west of the valley multiple dead volcano's. The water moment would have taken years. This could have been the event that lead to the eventual present day dead planet. If we could only find a fossil of biological life near the west end or east end of the crack we could then get a better estimate of the time of when life existed on Mars. This is a Theory.

Visually stunning. When nature wields it's paint brush the results are just staggeringly beautiful to behold. Truly emotional to behold. We are so lucky to be aware of the universe as separate and distinct to ourselves.

Wild topography. I have been a Mars fan for over 50 years and there is nothing disappointing about the planet.

I feel I am looking at what Earth will be like in the not too distant future.

That has to be the biggest canyon ever discovered on a different planet . And I wonder if we ever send people to Mars that the Canyon would be a spot of interest. Great video as always

I feel like we are catching up to the space race we quit in the 70s.
Breathtaking images from an entirely different world millions of miles from our own. Appreciate this video and some great dialogue and accompanying information that helps us process what we are seeing.
Well done.

Wonderful. My interest in Mars has inspired me to begin to learn about geology, in hopes of a better understanding of what I am seeing in images from mars and other planets and moons.
thanks much for posting these killer images.
