Russia warns attacks on Kyiv 'will intensify' • FRANCE 24 English

Russia's defence ministry warned Friday it would intensify attacks on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv in response to strikes on Russian soil, after accusing Ukraine of targeting Russian border towns. Follow FRANCE 24’s liveblog for all the latest developments. All times are Paris time (GMT+2).

They were shooting cruise missile into western Ukraine from that ship. This is their only missile ship in the Black Sea. So this is a huge loss to Russia.

The reporter do not adress the importance of the role of the ship. The flagg ship is effectivly the hub of command and information of the fleet. Without it they have to establish a new command on another ship. The challenge of this is determined on what equipment and information that was lost. This is the single most critical piece og infrastructure in the fleet and it was gutted fairly suddenly.
This is a historical event in naval combat history.
