make sure the wind cup spindle is snapped all the way down, when I set up mine I noticed the cup would spin and then freeze up. the plastic shaft was binding on it for some reason. also, it uses a magnetic reed sensor for sensing the spin. make sure that the magnet is close enough to the sensor to pick it up. there is no way that I'm aware of to calibrate the wind speed on these. the only thing adjustable is the indoor/outdoor temp and humidity, and the atmospheric pressure.

This is my 3rd one, and the wind speed has never worked right.It is blowing 25-30 mph outside right now.but Dr.Tech say it is 8.9 MPH..also rain gauge has not worked right...every..I compare it with a manual Rain Gauge..I wouldnt waste my money on these.Just my opinion though..
