Haven't watched this but I'm guessing that after fighting off 30 people, choke slamming Godzilla, and shooting down 3 fighter jets with watermelon seeds she got caught in a light drizzle of rain on the walk home with no umbrella. That is why she is sick. Anime has taught me that small sprinkles of water are deadly to the Japanese and often lead to next day sickness likely requiring hospitalization.

He knows about what to do in high fever. When the fever is low, you try to avoid cold and try to make yourself sweat to cool the temperature down. But in high fever, you need to cool down the body temperature using external sources, like normal temp water shower until the body cools down, or cranking the AC.
