This scene makes a lot more sense when you remember the author was originally going to have kurapika go the "girl dressed as a guy for safety when traveling" troupe and make a romance between kurapika and leorio, before scrapping the idea entirely and keeping kurapika male. If said idea hadn't been scrapped this would have been one of the "foreshadowing" scenes. This and that one shower scenes with kurapika and leorio that the first version of the anime kept in but the second took out
