The war in Ukraine continues to rage on, Russia seems to have no intention of backing down. As Putin is predicted to order another round of mobilization, it seems like nothing can stop him. Nothing, that is, besides maybe mother nature. And if Putin is on his last legs, it might be very bad news for the whole world.

One note regarding the Nukes. Let's remember that those silos where in bad shape back in the 80s, with a large percent unable to fire at all. So almost 40 years later, any replacement who's militarily-competent is going to read the reports and quickly realize they CAN'T fast-strike with dozens of missiles. Wagner group would be just such a scenario. While he'd have access to such an arsenals, he would quickly realize mass launches aren't an option.

Medvedev essentially disappeared after he played President until the war. I do think he would be the successor because he has already proven himself to be able to be controlled by the oligarchs.
