If you already grow with the Kratky method, tell everyone how you like it. Don't be afraid to answer questions and help each other out.

I cover jars in black balloons. Cut on both sides and stretch over jar.

I am slowly moving away from hydroponics, going back to soil, just as a personal preference, but when I mix my nutrient solutions, I use about six cups of hot water and dissolve everything in that first then pour that into the 5 gallons of water and it does way easier, faster and I know it's mixed 100%.

I saw an idea awhile back to go to Dollar Tree, in the party supplies section they sell table cloths that are similar to mylar, I found them and they work fabulous for mason jars. They come in silver and just saw a shiny purple one. They are way cheaper than foil or an emergency blanket. Plus they are huge, plenty to do more than a dozen jars even doubled up. Rubber band around the neck keeps it in place! 🌱

I planted anything I could find when I first started! But the tomato plants, cucumbers, etc. I live in a small apartment and they almost took over!!! 😂 You are so much fun Mike! Thanks. 🙏❣️

I got my planter from you. And have been successful growing romaine lettuce. I'm literally live in less than a 1000 ft² really cool condo. I don't have a place to hold 5 gallons of anything. So what I do is I divided up your nutrient by 5 and put it into a one gallon container. I've been getting some Brown spots, but I've just figured out from this video it's because I let the nutrition get too low. I don't have any good sunlight from my my patio. My patio is 8" on the 3rd floor. So I'm pretty limited to growing in these containers or larger containers. I'm excited to start tomatoes in large containers. I really want to thank you for all that you do as I am the last person That whatever consider growing anything. Usually, I've killed every single plant I've had. But I've been successful in the successful in this and my friends are truly amazed and I've encouraged them to start growing. Thank you Mike!

I've been using grow totes this year and I am blown away. I still use the traditional buckets to grow my tomatoes, cucumber in a trellis type system because I don't have a garden area because of being in a restricted living space. My neighbors have even started their own gardens after seeing how simple it is. Being the state of the economy and all people are waking up. It's vital that we help each other now.... Love ur micro green tips. Keep on Growing is not just a saying. It's a way of life....

This is what I needed to get my high school environmental science class started on hydroponics! We're situated in an urban area, and many live in housing with limited area for gardening. I'm learning right along side them at the moment!

Holy crap. It is almost godlike how amazing and comforting this video as a person new to hydroponics and watching dozens and dozens of videos. I got lost with all the different systems, lights, seeds, nutrient solutions, etc. I wanted to jump into aeroponics with tomatoes! But you are right. Start with the basics.

Firstly, thank you for that ratio rule. I'm big into canning as we are limited with the growing season outdoors in Canada (zone 3), I have plenty of mason jars (over 1500) with at least a few hundred spare as we use and re-use, i'll be putting some aside now based on this Kratky growing method. Lots of great tips about covering the glass jar too, but I especially love your pool noodle hack. This growing season once I get this system set up, I will expand that to my kids homeschool science too as an alternative to traditional soil methods (which is what we did last season). Thank you for all the knowledge you have shared on your channel - I'm new to this growing method. Very inspiring.

I found that when growing micro greens, if I change the water more often, I get less algae & mold, especially in hot weather. It’s working well for me, less waste of seeds.

I've only recently found your channel and I've already gotten your e-book and am working on designing a hydroponic setup for myself. You are absolutely an inspiration. I regularly find myself stopping to marvel at the romaine lettuce that I'm regrowing from what I bought at the grocery store and am amazed that I've gotten anything to grow at all. I'm absolutely addicted to seeing it grow and how it changes through out the day.

Thank you.

I just found your channel. Great information!! I love your final quote, “we can’t feed the world, but we can teach the world how to feed itself.” Thank you for your inspiring work.
