Dude so I’m about to turn 14, and I’ve wanted some form of social media for awhile, but Snapchat has been what I’ve wanted bc I can talk to my friends with images and have like filters and stuff
And I don’t really have to ask for numbers to text people bc I can just snap them.
I don’t have any need to talk to strangers on the internet. I’m young, not stupid. My parents always praise me on how mature and emotionally mature I am and all that stuff, and yet they don’t think I can handle having Snapchat because they think
1. I’m going to get killed
2. I’m going to sext someone
I’ve tried to talk to to them but they won’t ever listen. I was thinking about writing an essay on it because that can show maybe that I am mature enough.
Also, I’m about to go into highschool and I feel like I’m missing out.

A few months ago I got into trouble for nothing at school bc I was “bullying someone on snap” when it wasn’t me it was another person and so my mum took away my Snapchat and my phone so I was stuck with my iPad (btw this was the first day back at school this year) so now it’s April and my friends all have it except me I’ve tried asking but my mum will say no but I’m capable of not being rude or bullying bc I’ve been through things and I’m scared when I’m trying to be nice bc my parents might look through my ipad . Literally every.single.person I know has snap and my parents won’t let me get it!!!
