this was the first thing i made after getting logic and final cut! i wanna thank my patrons and anyone who listens to my music on itunes, spotify, etc because that's how i'm able to afford new software to make better-quality stuff!! i wouldn't be here without y'all

i'm not super proud of this one, though the pv was a lot of fun to make so there's that at least...!

something that i noticed is that it says "everyone would like you more without it", and then a couple scenes later, theyre throwing the cake away. theyre attempting to get rid of the people-pleasing by people-pleasing.

so i showed this song to my dad and this was his interpretation:
this girl is trying to fit the image of the "perfect person". she wants to appeal to everyone she meets, so she dramatically alters her diet and ends up developing an eating disorder. she struggles through it until she finally reaches "perfection", but the people around her either still aren't satisfied or want her to go back to her old self. she begins breaking down, not sure what to do now. she did everything to achieve the "perfect" body. what more do they need? how much more does she need to suffer?
probably a more surface-level interpretation of the story within the song than what most people noticed, but it's still a really interesting take. also, he enjoyed the song, which is a feat since he doesn't normally like vocaloid songs (he dislikes how robotic their voices sound)

So, what I've gathered is... This person is very desperate for people to like them, so much so that they go on to mimic other's personalities by "consuming them" thus becoming more likeable to others, in theory, but unfortunately it's not enough, and they can't figure out what else to do to make others like them, and while doing this, they realize that they don't even remember who they are anymore, becoming unoriginal.

Just found this song, and I love it. My family is getting very tired of me randomly screaming "I GUESS IM A BIT DRAMATIC"

Theory time:


So the person eating the cake has black nails, Flower has pink nails. Which means she isn't eating the cake. In the song she says "Take a bite of me, now that I have become a favorable delicacy. The black nailed person took a bite of the cake, cake is a delicacy to most people. She also says "Divide my life away into servings." If you are getting a slice cake, you are getting a serving of cake. She is splitting her personalities that she uses for different people and parts of her life so everybody's happy. This all means that she is possibly the cake herself. Then at the end she is breaking down and starting to lose her composer. Then the black nailed person throws away the cake because they don't like the cake anymore.



This is just a theory though....
