I don't think its "the supply is catching up" i think its more of "we can't afford today's prices and these interest rates are telling me no"

The only problem is most guys can't afford $900+ a month payment

I currently own a 2002 dodge 5.9 24 valve Cummins 2500, no regulations on this truck. Love my truck.

For the price of a truck I can build a tiny home to live in for the worst days comin.

With regards to new truck sales - if you are only able to put a down payment of $20, 000 on a $60, 000 truck - the payments could be in the $1, 000 a month range. Does anyone at TFL see a problem when the economy does a down turn?

Why doesn’t the subject of long term reliability EVER come up in these ‘bells & whistles’ reviews?

Seriously, the price of trucks is about 15k too high. They're getting ridiculous how expensive they are. They're not even really a working man's vehicle anymore.
If i want a work truck that i can drive every day and take my family out with, I'm looking at 75k for it, like really wtf is that

Titan and Ranger are the biggest concerns. I think Nissan has some major quality issues with the Titan, and the resale on them is terrible. I don't think there's much too wrong with the Ranger, but frankly I think the Bronco and Maverick are canabalizing its sales. They're just more exciting to new customers right now, for different reasons. In fact, I was considering getting a Ranger myself, but opted for putting in an order for a Maverick instead.

It would help if we could see those sales numbers blown up on screen. I need a visual while you guys are chatting about it! Great video

Berman forgot to mention the substantial price increases that are coming in the 2024 model which is on top of the 4.5% increase the 2023 models over 2022. Basically you will be paying a Denali price for SLE trim compared to 2021 prices. Most buyers wages have not risen with these prices. With finance rates rising pretty rapidly, the used market is now beginning to implode, and we are heading toward a recession. The OEMs are walking into a sharp down market.

I have a 2004 V10 Excursion with 192, 000 miles. Besides a little oil usage, wear items, and little things here and there it’s been great. 14.3 mpg from OKC to Maryland and back twice a year. I’ve got $10k in it, and am budgeting another $10k for new tires, entire front end rebuild, front and rear lockers, etc. It will haul 5, the dog, and all of our shit safely and securely. Tow anything I need it to tow. It’s paid for and has solid bones. If/when the motor or trans go they’ll get replaced. New trucks at $70k plus! I can buy a shit ton of gas for the $60k difference! Y’all can have those new geewhiz trucks.

Out of all the selling points the sales team can make to me in these presentations, the biggest things that would stand out to me are "look how many of our trucks from 2000 are still on the road" and "let me show you how many parts on this truck can be easily fixed or replaced in 20 minutes".

I’m more of a $400-$500 a month truck payment kind of guy. So I’ll keep buying used. A $1000 a month payment for the cheapest, baseline trim is just insane to me and in this economy, unattainable. And I make a decent salary. Trucks payments are now what house payments were a few years ago and pay hasn’t really gone up with the price of inflation.

Andre, you hit the nail on the head. We are all here for the newsiest truck news available!
Rebel diesel gives up so much payload that you have to ask if it's worth it. Gas ~3100payload, diesel ~1950? Does not leave much payload for max towing plus people with that heavy engine under the hood. But keep adding more options to these luxury trucks.

I do have to agree that I always like the GMC trucks more than the Chevys

No average guy wants a fully loaded truck and payments

It’s a cool down because of rising interest rates and not for the manufacturers wanting to stop f@&$ing us. Next time GM begs for tax money, let’em go belly up
