I disagree with your ranking order, but I'm glad the series is getting more coverage. The Trails games are the best RPG series I've ever played, beign Trails in The Sky SC my favorite game of all time. Anyone that loves RPGs should play these games... you'll be in for a real treat.

The main reason I find this list baffling is cause CS2 and CS4 have the same pacing problems as Azure but magnified cause of how much more there are of both games. I also just really dont find Old Class VII nearly as compelling as the SSS.

Honestly, in my opinion any installment that features Renne should be near the top, because her story in each game is reflective of whatever that continent is going through, and as a result you get a real idea of what that society needs at any given time.

A big theme of this series is the negative side of society progressing too quickly, and seeing it through her role and need to adapt and go undercover is fascinating.

Amazing that Azure would be 10 on this list when for most trails fans its the best in series and the crossbell arc is maybe most fans favorite. To have zero and azure so low and have cold steel 1 ahead of them is crazy I think most ppl would agree the crossbell games are peak trails.

Super unique ranking. Luckily, there are reasons to love each of these games. I can’t wait until the next two games are localized.

This is the wildest ranking I have ever seen of these games but I respect it. I do think the Cold Steel games get too much hate, but Crossbell is still my favorite arc.

Off the top of my head:

1. Azure
2. Sky the Third
3. Reverie
4. Zero
5. Cold Steel 4
6. Sky SC
7. Cold Steel 3
8. Cold Steel 1
9. Sky FC
10. Cold Steel 2

I wouldn't rank any of these below an 8/10, but the Sky Trilogy and the first two Cold Steel games are lacking in quality of life features that make them a little harder for me to replay than the newer releases. Sky the Third just has so many moments I adore that I can't have it outside the top three.

I NEED to have a western release of Cold Steel 1 & 2 for the Switch. I mean I have them for my Vita, but I would love to play CS 1-4 all on the Switch.

I’m glad others rate Trails into Reverie so high! After the Cold Steel games that weren’t my favorite arc I was surprised to fall so in love with Reverie. It turns out what I needed to really enjoy the CS characters was a more condensed and character focused plot, who knew.

This is going to sound weird, but I'm glad Trails from Zero almost placed last cuz I just got it yesterday, and I'm quite enjoying it a lot 10 hours in 😆. Makes me even more excited to get into the subsequent entries of the series
