I can't say enough how thankful I am for these videos. I would be lost without them. Other channels exist but the depth and clarity of the explanations here are hands down the best. @FarmerKlein A correction to what you say at 28:50. Cows will reach 100% Health and therefore reproduce if you only feed them hay or silage. I'm positive that the xml file have food effectiveness threshold set at 75% as in fs22, and as hay and silage alone is above that they will reach 100% health and reproduce. Productivity at 100% must be the same bad design/bug as in FS22, if that is the case it is still only 80% effective in output if fed hay as top food.

I just found you and I'm already addicted! The quality and depth of your videos is 10/10! I can't wait for your TMR video, because I can't keep my cows full with TMR! I only have 30 cows and the amount of TMR they consume is nuts, and my method of making it just isn't cutting it, as I feel like I'm spending all my time make it, so I'm curious as to how you deal with a large number of cows. Ha ha finally got my answer. The default pasture is for meat cows not milk cows. Explains why no milk trigger. I thought it was some error. Ty

Great video as always FK. I've been waiting for this one... didn't understand (until now) the differences in the new cow barns. Side note: I feel like Giants missed the mark on cows feeding regarding meadows. IRL of course a cow will still graze the meadow regardless of whether or not there is TMR in the barn.

There is a work around for the bugged bail storage. Park a vehicle or trailer in the input area. Withe it parked there take out your bales. They will spawn on the other side of the vehicle and you will be able to retrieve them.

Hi FK. Excellent content again. The fact that cows won´t produce milk in those 3 pens is unreal. Or maybe, maybe the cows don´t produce milk because they don´t like the accomodations. Maybe that´s the problem... we have fancy cows in FS25. ;) Giants is dropping the ball. Already reported 11 bugs... 11. Normal ingame stuff, i´m not looking for problems. At this point, as someone who bought 1 year pass, i feel that i´m paying to do the devs work. Take care FK. Keep up the good work.

I seen comments that people cows starve cause the barn doesnt increase food capacity when you customize the fence for getting bigger cow number😢

How does the slurry pit work? Built the cow barn for 170k (red one) and bought 115 cows at 6 month and a round slurry pit close to the cow sheed. But no matter the pit is always empty?!?! What do I need to do to make the pit fill up with slurry?

I might be doing something wrong but maybe you can test this. Buy the robot feeding cow pen. Add a silo extension for slurry (I bought the big one). Place it down close enough and it brings the capacity from 100, 000 to 2, 700, 000. Sounds great. But after saving game and coming back, silo extension is still there but capacity has been reduced back to 100, 000. Any thoughts? Maybe it is just cows? I am going to run the same tests with pigs and see what happens. Do you think Giants knows about this? Thanks for your insights and helpful videos.

FK, there seems to be a bug with cows and grass as of ver 1.4. I am raising up calfs for sale in the outdoor pen. Since the pen doesn't produce slurry and I am raising them to sell at 18 months, it doesn't matter how long it takes them to get to 100% health since it is going to be 18 months before I can sell them for max price. I decided to use regular grass since it doesn't take as much work as hay but no matter how much grass I put in they never gain any health from the grass. Have you encountered something similar?

So the second barn takes straw, but won't produce manure or slurry? What is the purpose of the straw then?

Regarding the out door pen and the two barns that are for breeding only, can you get slurry from either of those 3? I have tried putting a slurry bunker near them but the bunker is always empty even with the cows at 100% health. Thanks

Question with the straw blowers, are you able to shred a bale of hay or straw and have it unload anywhere on the ground? Always thought that’d be a nice touch of realism to grind your hay or straw bales before scooping it up into a mixer wagon

I could not figure out how to feed my cattle in the barn.
Answer: drop food in the passageway that you can drive through with your tractor.

Off topic for this video, (BTW, great detail for all things cow) but how much manure/slurry/digestate does it take to fertilize a hectare (or acre)? I haven't found any FS-tuber that has gone Indepth regarding that.
