Did you know you that just like you have a dominant hand, you have a dominant eye? 🤔 Let's check which eye is your dominant eye in this step-by-step guide!

1. Extend your arms out all the way 🙌
2. Make a diamond or a triangle with your hands and look through them ♦
3. Focus on a distant object like a clock or a corner of a mirror (here we use a door handle) 🕐
4. Now close your left eye. Can you still see the object? 😉
5. If you can, you are RIGHT EYE DOMINANT 🎊
6. If you can't, you are LEFT EYE DOMINANT 🎊

When I check for eye dominance, I roll a piece of paper into a telescope and hand it to the patient to look through. Whichever eye they bring it to is their dominant eye.

never had issues all my life until some years ago I began to see that my left eyewas kind of going outto left. I had to either focus on this eye to put it back at its correct position (more or less parallel to the other eye right ?) or I am now just used to simply close this eye when I am not in public. Now I find my in a weird spot tho, I was guessing if it is somehow fixable, by exercices or by the use of corrective tools (glasses)

This is not a good test because the image will be in view whichever eye they decide to see through their hands with, they can change it Sight takes place with both eyes.

*i was born with a cataract in my right eye and still have it at 36 & because my right eye is constantly foggy my brain unknowingly decided to constantly use my left eye vision for everything to where it feels like my right eye is only used for peripheral vision & i just wonder if i get the cataract removed and both eyes will be fully clear will my brain untrain itself to only use the one good eye to then use both equally if that makes any sense*
