A dangerous and potentially historic severe weather outbreak is taking shape across the Central and Eastern US this week! Starting today with isolated storms in Texas and Florida, this event will rapidly escalate into a significant multi-day severe weather episode. By Sunday (March 30), we're tracking a situation across the Ohio Valley with potential for tornadoes, destructive winds, and large hail affecting over 40 million people. This will be followed by another round of severe storms Monday across the Southeast US affecting major cities like Atlanta, Charlotte, and Raleigh. Additionally, flooding threatens South Texas while dangerous heat builds in the West.

My family and I are speaking with the people in charge in our county to increase tornado readiness by installing more sirens where we need them and going to schools to present on tornado safety and to inspect whether or not they’re safe. I think this is one of the weirdest forecasts I ever heard. 30+ degrees hotter in some areas, snow, rain - a huge dichotomy of temperature difference!
