Peter Freestone - Freddie and his privacy

I felt it was the right time to talk about Freddie and why he didn't tell the world about his private life back in the 70s and 80s. You can see on the news these days exactly what would have happened. Milan and I have also been sitting with our thinking caps on, to come up with something that quite a few people have asked about. Watch and find out more!

I met Freddie outside the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in NYC, 11-1978. I will never forget how kind he was to me and to take a picture with me on that freezing cold night. I also met him again in NYC 1982, always a kind gentleman. Freddie will always have a big place in my heart.

Shame on anyone who gave this and any other of Peter Freestone's videos about his, Freddie Mercury, and the band Queen's lives a thumbs down. If you are not interested, just don't listen. Peter is a blessing to the fans of this fabulous man, Freddie Mercury, who's music has given us so much joy over many years. Thank you, Peter. Please keep bringing us your kind words.

I remember how things were when Freddie was diagnosed. Society was closed minded and fearful. We have come a long way but not far enough. Honestly I get so tired of people associating Freddie with being gay. Who gives a shit? It was just a part of who he was and who we loved! He was an amazingly talented man and I know I will never see another like him in my lifetime. I still listen to Freddie and Queen non stop. They were/are a big part of my life and I'm so happy to see Freddie's legacy being kept alive and honored!!!

Mercury was a helluva guy. Unparalleled singer, brilliant composer and a solid insturmentalist. The same is true of his colleagues. Queen will always be my favorite group.

Never met Fred... I was 11 when he died and had just really started getting into the band when my mother told me over breakfast that 'the guy from the band you liked just died.' It was the first rock celebrity I lost and it's still the most impactful. I love him, love his music, his persona, etc. Man, singer, writer, legend! Miss you Freddie... and thank you for everything you gave me. Music meant nothing until I heard you.

Freddie’s heart was always in the right place. He protected the legacy of the mother ship and his band mates. Truly an incredible man. I often wonder if he knew how loved he really was/is? He could have made it all about him but he chose not to. His voice and stage presence are like no other and with an “Aye Oh” he had us all in the palm of his hand. A million thanks Peter for sharing these wonderful stories with all us. Much love! ❤️❤️❤️

It's so easy to see why Freddie held your friendship so close to his heart. You have the Same love and compassion for others Freddie had. We love you for being Freddie's trusted friend but we love you for all your other non Freddie parts too.

Freddie has become a classroom management tool for me. Today I had my timer set to Radio Gaga and my class got quiet so fast. They were so intrigued by Freddies voice. It was amazing. I'm hoping to pass his legacy to the next generation.

God Bless You Peter Freestone. You Are An Absolute Blessing To All Of Us.Thank You Very Much, For Always Sharing Freddie's Life, Like It Should Be Told. Freddie Was A Human Being, And An Excellent And Very Intelligent Singer, Legend, Songwriter, Guitarist, And The Most Loved Frontman Ever!! The Media Has Run Freddie Mercury's Name And His Dignity Into The Ground. This Is Absolutely The Most Disrespectful Ongoing Disgrace, Of Our Freddie!! He Had The Absolute Right, To Have His Own Life Too!! I Wish Very Much That, The Media, Could Let Freddie's Spirit Rest In Peace!! It's Been 31 Years, And It's Way Overdue, That Freddie Be At Rest. Amen. Blessings And Love To You Peter. 💞💞 From Illinois USA 💓🇺🇸 August 27, 2022
