Any thought of wet sanding with very fine then buffing? Flatting it out progressively 1200, 1500, 2000, 3000. Sanding may improve the surface quite a bit.

Yes, pity about that pitting on the bodywork. The shine came up pretty nice but it emphasizes the pits more. I also was wondering if going over it with a very fine sandpaper or rubbing compound would help to flatten them. The bumpers and wires came out great too and as you say they are the selling point of the car, but a pain in the ass to clean and maintain. Otherwise it is all coming along nicely. You can be very proud of your work and I know you will enjoy driving her in the end.

It’s a shame there’s all that damage. Hard to imagine what it was caused by.
