History repeated itself. Elizabeth Banks said that if the movie doesn't do well, its because men hate women in leading roles and as heroes. Viola Davis said the same exact thing for The Woman King movie. Hollywood excuses is getting beyond redundant.

Dealing with the modern entertainment industry is like being in an abusive relationship with every woman in Hollywood. Same gaslighting, same outbursts, same contradiction of expectations, same verbal abuse if you do something, and verbal abuse if you don't.

Fortunately, enough movies have been made, books written, and music created that predate this idiocy that I can literally go the remainder of my life appreciating better works from better people and never once again step into the steaming pile that is our new woke film consumption industry, or even notice its absence.

And that's what I'm going to do.

Elizabeth kinda backpedaled when the numbers came out about how much of her movies audience was men. Turned out to be 51%. Then she actually turned around and asked why didn't women show up. The answer is because Women for the most part hate each other. That's why Women don't support movies or sports made for them. They'd rather watch women tear each other down.

Even the titles in the thumbnail alone baffled me. Like... Imagine if you specifically said a movie you're making isn't for a specific audience group, why would you be surprised if that audience group do exactly what you said and didn't watch that movie?

It's not the audience's job to like your movie, it's your job to make a movie the audience will like. Maybe her comments are part of a small movement away from wokeness in entertainment that turns off the audience. Whatever they say publicly, Amazon has to be hearing the criticism of Galadrial in RoP.

Myself and some friends went to see Ford Vs Ferrari and we saw the poster board for this crap fest. A buddy of mine wanted to see it because he grew up on the original tv show and he saw the redux of the early 2000s movies. I told him no he shouldn’t and promptly explained to him why this was propaganda feminist man hating garbage. He couldn’t believe it, not until he heard how badly it failed at the box office.
