I could see a team giving up a haul for Pickett to move into the second overall spot after JAX. He looks like an NFL QB, he played five years basically at PITT, he's probably the most NFL ready prospect at the position in a long time. But there are second tier QB's like Howell who didnt have the supporting cast around them this year that will surprise people. Pickett and Howell are the two most likely guys to become long time NFL starters out of this draft.

The Defense in this class is nuts but the QBs aren't amazing

People really fall in love with mobile QBs who can’t read defenses. Malik Willis has shown inaccuracy and terrible pocket awareness. Not to say he can’t pan out. But he’s not your next special thing.

Looks like a Geno Smith /EJ Manuel year to me. Everyone is claiming all of these QBs are the best! No one can agree who is the best! Most of them didn't perform all that well this year in college against college level talent. Just remember when they get to the pros the stat sheet will be a lot worse! If they are a 67% completion passer they will be roughly 63% and if they have 40 TD then they may only get 20 the first year. If they run for 40-50 yrds a game then don't always expect that in the NFL. If they do run a lot, they better be bigger then 200 lbs or expect them to be injured a lot.

Buddy mentioned going through progressions...where? When?

Dude doesn't move his sight from half of the field, stares down who he is throwing to, and doesn't go through progressions quickly at all even though he is only looking at half the field.

Ridder goes through progressions, M.Corral does the same. You can see them getting to 3rd and 4th options on the other side of the field than where their first read is.

Yea, listen to these guys if you want to be fooled into thinking you're getting J.Burrow (who also went through progressions in college).

Crazy how qbs went from being these slow dudes that were just molded to throw the ball, to pretty much a rb who can throw the ball more than 30 yards

Kayvon is overrated! Dean and Linderbaum are better prospects than him. Kayvon is a first round pick, but not in the top 10.

Corral and Willis must sit behind QB veterans as successors and are better off being drafted later. Only Kenny Pickett is a worthy of a first round pick.
