It actually really works, my old laptop was really shitty and running stranded deep at 20fps but when i ready boost it was increasing to 35-40fps. It doesnt effect as this much for all games but it works

Well it depends on the usb and the drive alot since you won't really need this for an SSD since SSD's have plenty of speed and your usb might not be fast enough to retrieve that cache and info to actually make a difference but of course your computer will tell you if it's gonna make a difference or not

Note : ready boost isn't effective if u got alot of ram but if u got little ram and ready boost it will help u a lot basically ready boots is used to help user who don't have enough ram but use USB as ram by emulation its not as fast as ram but it will help a lot
