Search all Tabs - Browser Extension Review

Показать описание
A review on the "Search all Tabs" browser extension, which is available for all web-extension supported browsers.

This extension provides a powerful content searching tool for you to easily find the relevant tab among many open ones. Like all search engines, this extension supports search operators like "AND" and "OR". You can use this extension to find the relevant content when there are many open tabs like a normal tab manager extension. It is also possible to index local files as well. This extension supports parsing content from around 30 languages and displays a preview (snippet) for the matching result. You can click on each search entry to directly activate the container tab.

This sounds like a great extension but I do want to say this is a non-intuitive video for average users. For me the kind of scenario where this could come in very handy is when I have about 30+ Youtube tabs open with different live music performances I want to listen to. ... When all my tabs say "Youtube", I cannot tell with a glance WHERE is the one with, for example, Sting, or Foo Fighters, and so on. So if your extension would enable me to just enter the term "Sting", I would hope that it would then highlight and give focus to THAT TAB amidst all the open tabs across my browser. I don't want to see a dropdown of "google-looking" search results. I just want to jump to the first tab which matches that string, etc. ... It would be even better if, finding several youtube tabs with the name Sting within title, to have those auto-collected into a TAB-GROUP, and throw the focus onto that group.

For average people, it's a VISUAL thing --- we don't want to have to look at some generated Google local results list dropdown, we just want to JUMP to that tab. That's what I would have hoped for.

Regex would be quite amazing with this.
