Can you believe this?….. Insane Road Discipline, Aizawl, Mizoram

I’ve never encountered such road discipline as in Aizawl, Mizoram. The drivers are always aware that even if one of them steps out of line, there is no way out. Navigating this hilly terrain and narrow roads is a marvel to watch… It’s an @insane encounter

That's why education is important ..
Aizwal is the most educated city of India with 99% literacy

Warm greetings to the people of Arunachal Pradesh & Mizoram on their Statehood Day.

These culturally rich North-Eastern states are contributing immensely to India’s growth story.

Praying for continued growth, progress & development of these vibrant states.

People saying the traffic would be much more chaotic if the roads were bigger or that traffic discipline exists only because of the small roads have no idea what they are talking about.
You will notice some other hill stations and all plain areas with the same road width, to much bigger road widths are much more chaotic than this with horns blaring away. This is why the solution to fixing traffic congestion is not to build more roads after a point. Even in bigger road area within the city, traffic behavior is still this peaceful. Visit Mizoram to see for yourself.
A city's traffic behavior actually reflects their culture, this is one such case as with many.

I am from chennai but born and raised in shillong and tezpur, it's not about education, it's the nature of the north eastern people by birth, Always others before self, Mizos are wonderful people..some people think it comes from education., The roads are very narrow and the terrain is rugged. same happens in Indonesia.

Exactly.. I've been to Aizawl 3 times and it's gotta be the most disciplined City in India. I never even hear a honk during my stay there. The people are so civilized. Much respect to the Mizos. 🫡

The moral we learned from this clip is How Ek-Line is important

We Mizo people like to take turns and wait in que as compared to mainland Indians. We often feel strange to see mainlanders fighting over something rather than wait in que
