This anime some how made 20 minutes feel like an entire 40 minute episode in such an amazing way. So many details and so much character building and world building that it immersed me so much to the point to where I wondered if I was still on the same episode feeling like I had just watched two episodes worth. It’s just phenomenal and I can’t wait for season 2!

as someone who doesn't really like anime, i have to say this series really captured me. Especially the 2nd part of season
1.

The only anime i watched that i liked so far was comedy stuff, and this is mostly because it really leans into the comedy part. Other anime genres just feel like they're trying to be serious and tell a gripping, heart wrenching, or epic story, but in reality, it ends up feeling artificial. I never got away from that feeling... until i discovered mushoku tensei. This series was able to convey its story in that sort of subtle, mature style of storytelling that really draws you in. That "show-don't-tell" kind.

It also resonates with me on a personal level, due to childhood trauma, so i actually shed a few tears here and there (at scenes that probably were not supposed to be sad) 😢

In terms of portraying a fantasy world well, there isnt another anime that can hold a candle to Mushoku Tensei, its excellent in most other aspects too ofc.

Season 1 did volume 1 to 6, there are scenes from volume 12 in this trailer, so season 2 will probably have 24 episodes too, I wonder if it's going to be 2 cours
