It’s also because it’s genuinely encouraged at this point by those behind this game. There is *legitimate official merch of ultrakill characters on body pillows* and also Gabriel’s VA gives us so much content by voicing some of the most hilarious (and sometimes down bad) things we pay him to say. It’s not just that this stuff is prevalent in the fandom, it’s that those behind the game itself give us the content we would normally be cringe for making ourselves.
