Matthew 27: 19 NRSV Pilate's Wife a Disturbing Dream

-What does Pilate’s wife know, He does not know?
Why does God give the Dream to Pilate’ s wife?
Would it have been better to give the dream to Pilate?
Is she more spiritually ready, receptive, & responsive?
Is this a wasted dream, it appears to not go anywhere?

I appreciate this video. I was reading these chapters this morning and wondered why, of Christ had to die this way, which we are told repeatedly in scripture, that he had to die and it had to be this way, why then would she have a dream that appears to be an effort from God to stop the murder of Christ. Then while watching this video it occured to me, that having pilate as a witness, the highest law of their land who thought and testified that Christ was innocent is a big proof of the validity of Christ and all he said, and then when that's coupled with his wife's spiritual dream that intensifies the witness of pilate and his wife to the truth of Christ, his ministry, and his purpose in this world. I think God gave her that dream to prove more that he was innocent, but pilate was not able to save Christ, he did all he could do to save his which adds to the many examples of things and people that validate that all of this did happen, that Jesus was real and all of this did happen.

Interesting insight into the establishment of 2 witnesses that Jesus was innocent. Maybe that is why "she suffered much", to get her to act on the dream.
