Well thought-out review mate. One of the very few off the shelf knives I own is a SRK in AUS8, and i think Lilly's knife addresses basically every change i would make to it.

Intresting review. Looks a lot like SRK and Fallkniven S1 and so fort. The handel looks god, but the blade shape is not for me. The steel is another issue. AUS8 is easy to sharpen but dulles easy. Sometimes i belive it dulles in plane oxygen. I mostly use knife for prepering food and dont use knife for batoning, choping and stabbing. I use a knife, axe and a saw. That cover the most in the woods and mountain. Question: do you still use this knife?

A very honest and thorough review Trev. I quite like AUS 8 steel as a very capable budget steel and I have a Boker folder in AUS 8 which performs really well. The sheath is very similar to my Steel Will Roamer, which is in D2, which is also a very capable tool for not a lot of money. If I were to find myself in a situation where the only tool I had was Lilly's knife, then I would be more than happy to have it by my side. Atb, J 👍.

I think aus8 is underrated.mostly because of all the super steels we have today, but back in the 80s and 90s all of the high knives were made out of it,

You recommend people spend 170 plus tax and shipping on a aus8 knife? You wouldn't recommend a knife with better steel in that price range?

Great review mate, looks pretty good.I think myself I would probably go for the cold steel SRK in SK5 if I was looking for something like this. Then again that's probably because I am a cheapskate 😂.

Great review! I dislike so much about that knife. Removeable handles, jumping, plastic sheaths, that blade shape, size. Did she use a worn our old blade as a pattern? However Aus 8 is buttery smooth to sharpen, is semi rust resistant and def give a little before it chips out. I really like Aus 8.
The one tool survival crowd is so odd. Did they all forget multi tools exist?

I can‘t understand the reason why people cut live trees, in this case a small one, just only to film a video.We are knives people and we like them but you can release your video using dead wood instead.
