"They want to make sure that their husbands do well, that their sons do well, that their children do well and that they do well." Sounds like pretty sound logic. It could have been summarized by saying "They want themselves and their families to do well". Shouldn't that be everyone's goal? Is Sunny suggesting that she doesn't want to do well, or that her family, if she has one, should do poorly?
Is she suggesting that only "white" women are smart enough to hold these views?
