Sophos Firewall v20: XG to XGS Migration

We show you how to migrate from an XG to an XGS Firewall using the new Backup-Restore Assistant, which is available in SFOS v20 MR2.

For compatible migrations, the Backup-Restore Assistant is only available if:
-Backup device is running SFOS v19.5 MR4+ (or v20 GA+), and
-Restore device is an XGS series, virtual or cloud appliance running SFOS v20 MR2

If these prerequisites aren’t met, the Assistant UI will not appear, and you must use the old Backup and Restore process.
