Oersted's Experiment

Demonstrating the existence of a magnetic field along a current carrying conductor. The direction of the magnetic field can be determined using the right-hand grip rule, where if one curls his fingers as though gripping something with his thumb pointing in the direction of the current, his fingers will point in the direction of the magnetic field.
