Here I test the performance of an Intel Optane 900P PCIe SSD drive by installing Windows Server 2016. For comparison, I also show a Samsung PM951 PCIe NVMe SSD.

The virtual machine's shown have 8 CPU's, 8GB of RAM and are connected to a datastore via the VMware Paravirtual SCSI controller. The underlying host is a HP DL360e Gen8 with two Xeon E5-2450L (8 core, 16 thread) processors.

Hello! Thx for video! What the other spec your PC? 900p it a very fast ssd, problem in fact can be that the other components of the PC can not open the full potential of the Optane 900p.

So, 900p could ba bootable device? I saw that intel has special drivers for windows 10, so, why they are need? I thought that 900p could only be used in Windows environment
