The Diskos of Laloumás
On the paths through the mountains of Crete there was an abandoned village, in the ruins of which - between shards, rotten cloth and animal excrements - a sensation was discovered: An antique black disk bearing the inscription "ΣΥΡΤΟΣ Ο ΠΡΩΤΟΣ". The trampled treasure was retrieved, washed in a puddle and freed from clay and goat shit. From then on it was dangling from the backside of the backpack. Weeks later, back in the foreignness of Stuttgart, a meticulous cleaning was carried out. And then time stopped for a moment: After decades of oblivion the disk cracklingly revealed its engraved information. In digitized form it returned back to its island.
